Adam Jimenez-Schulman
Adam is a leadership coach and organizational strategist with over 15 years of experience across the for-profit and social impact sectors. His work centers on supporting leaders and organizations navigating complexity, growth, and change — particularly at the intersection of people, systems, and culture.
He currently serves as a leadership coach to mission-driven executive and emerging leaders, and as a global people leader in the education sector.
Adam began his career in strategy and M&A consulting at PwC, where he supported clients across government, consumer goods, and financial services in evaluating growth opportunities and navigating strategic decision-making.
He later moved into public education, holding school- and network-level leadership roles at Explore Schools, a public charter organization in Brooklyn serving over 2,000 students. There, he oversaw school-wide operations, systems, data, facilities, and safety. He also led operations and culture teams and managed a $4M budget.
Since 2020, Adam has held leadership roles at Rising Academies, an education B-Corp serving over 300,000 students across sub-Saharan Africa. He has built and led the organization’s global People, Talent, and Safeguarding functions during a period of rapid growth, creating and scaling core systems and leadership capacity as global headquarters staff expanded fourfold. He also oversees an internal coaching and development program, and facilitates organizational development conversations and thought-partnership with the executive leadership team.
Adam is formally trained as a Co-Active coach. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Change Management from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
As Founder and Principal of Solutions Oriented Coaching and Consulting, Adam helps leaders make sense of complexity and take intentional, effective action.
