Laura Wolff
I am a nonprofit consultant with expertise in philanthropy, project management, decision-making, and behavior change spanning education, health and human services, child and youth development, workforce, and civic participation.
I conduct interviews, landscape analysis, and other research to support grantmakers in assessing and enhancing their current giving and charting future directions. I also provide capacity-building workshops and 1-1 coaching for human service practitioners, activists, and nonprofit leaders, guiding them in strengthening organizational functioning, translating plans into actions, and establishing benchmarks and systems for ongoing monitoring, course-correcting, and documenting impact.
In gathering information, assessing programs and operations, and helping nonprofit leaders solve problems, plan for change, and formulate implementation steps, I focus on:
• The actual on-the-ground context within which funders, program constituents, staff, policymakers, and other target audiences are operating;
• Existing and potential barriers to desired actions; and
• Research-informed strategies that can help overcome these obstacles, facilitate best practices, and enhance constituent engagement and program impact.
